Summer Social- 5/7/09

180 tickets have now been sold for the Great Smeaton Big Summer Social, this Sunday. So thanks to everyone who has helped sell tickets- especially the Reed Family.

The next meeting is the annual car treasure hunt, all clubs are very welcome to come along and join in. We are meeting at 7.00pm on the green on THURSDAY night.

Could all members please bring a raffle prize for the summer social to the meeting on Thursday night.

Next Meeting- 5/6/09

Friday's meeting is a walk around Mr and Mrs Garbutts, Middle Farm, Danby Wiske at 7.30pm to look at the robotic milking machines. Meet on the green at 7.15pm.
This meeting has been moved forward a week from the date published in the programme.
Also, can everyone who has booked a place for Aerial Extreme please bring the money to the meeting.

Next Meeting- WEDNESDAY 27th May

The next meeting is the magical mystery tour to ..... on WEDNESDAY evening not thursday as stated in the calendar. Timings and other details to follow..

Names are now being taken for both the High Ropes Experience and the County Rally doo. Please get in touch with Louise to reserve your place on the high ropes- as numbers are limited!!

Annual Bike Ride- 22/5/09

This weeks meeting is the annual bike ride, meet on the green at 7.15.
Please bring a little money with you because as usual the route will be planned around the odd pub for refreshments! We are also hoping to get fish and chips to balance out the health aspect. Also, if you have a helmet please bring it with you.
Anyone interested in the yfc ski trip can speak to jim for more details.

There is an evening doo after the rally on the Saturday 16th May. It is held at the same farm as the rally itself. Tickets are £5, see Louise and bring the money to the meeting on Friday.

Next meeting- 1/5/09

This weeks' meeting is rally preparation in the village hall at 7.30pm.
Cards will be handed out with everyones' rally entries on. Would any advisory, who don't mind giving up a little of their time, come and advise members on rally 'things'; from key stock judging points, help sort out the cookery, flowers, advise on building wooden structures and all the rest.
Any help would be much appreciated, even if its for 1/2 an hour or so.

Quiz Night- This Friday

  • Please could all members be at the village hall for 6.30 pm (or as early as possible) to help set up for the quiz. The quiz is to help raise funds for our YFC so it would be appreciated if you could all chip in and help on the night.
  • We’ve sold quite a few tickets now but there are still some left.
